



Vegesna Foundation is providing all the rehabilitation facilities under one umbrella. Every (dis)abled child who enters the premises achieves something or the other during its stay with the institution. There are many stories, incident's of pride to the institution's credit.
It has completed 17 years of service in the field of Orthopaedically Handicapped, Polio-affected and totally crippled. The expansion of the services is horizontal as well as vertical, trying to cover the majority of disabled, with extended services.
Padmavathi School for Physically Handicapped, sponsored by Vegesna Foundation, is a project, initiated in 1988 and aided by Govt.of India, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment under the scheme of
Assistance to Organizations for the Disabled from. The Foundation has various wings of service like Project for Special School, Vocational Training Center, Project for Community Based Rehabilitation, Project for Cerebral Palsy and Mental Retardation and Hostel Facility.
The school is maintaining a vast library. The Management of Bhogaraju Pattabhi Sitaramaiah Vamsee Grandhalayam has donated more than 3000 books and furniture to Vegesna Foundation. In 1992-93 the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment has released non-recurring grant for purchase of Library books for Rs.15,000-00. The total number of books in the library is 4000. The library is very useful to the disabled students and persons because they have restricted movement to go to other libraries.
Parent Couselling: the social worker of the institution conduct door to door survey and educate the parents of the OH & MR regarding the rehabilitation process to be taken care of. He also guides the OH persons about the benefits and resources available to them from the Govt. He advocates the necessity of the Polio Drops, Immunization against Hepatitis 'B' and other deadly diseases. He cousels the parents of the students who are newly admitted, motivate them to get their children operated. He cousels the problematic students like maladjusted and frequently absent students.
