Hafeeza Begum D/o. Md.Jahangir (Auto Driver) was born normal in 1991. She is the youngest of four children. When she was of 3 years, she suffered from polio. She was not immunized against polio. She had high fever. The local doctor gave an injection, because of which her four limbs were paralyzed. The parents took her to another doctor. That doctor realized what happened and started treatment. After some days the movement in upper limbs and some movement in lower limbs were recovered.
Rehabilitation:
When she came to the institution in 1998, she was crawling on four limbs. She was admitted in 1st class. Immediately the needed surgical correction is taken care of. Soft Tissue Release (STR) is done on 29th October, 1998 at Shalini Hospitals, Barkatpura, Hyderabad by Dr.A.Srinivasa Rao, Ortho. Surgeon. After the post operative care, Bil. AKC (Bilateral Above Knee Caliper) with Pelvic Band and Crutches are given. She was gait trained in walking with correct posture.
Academics:
She continues her studies and passed 10th Class in the year 2007-08. She passed the “Visharada” of the Hyderabad Hindi Prachara Sabha Examination. She also passed the “Prarambhik” (Music) Examination of the Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal, Mumbai.
Present:
Now she completed Intermediate (Vocational – Pre School Teacher Training ) 1st year with 66% of marks and is looking forward for a bright future.
